COMPANION ANIMALS (dogs, cats, etc.)

A property may not house more than 3 adult dogs and one litter (with no more than 10 canines total).   All dogs and cats must be registered ($5-$15) with a valid rabies vaccination.

In the City of Oak Point a valid rabies vaccination must have:

• a certificate of vaccination is presented signed by a licensed veterinarian,
   
• a serial number (batch number) for the vaccination,
   
• a vaccination given within the last 12 months of registration date (NOTE- it is still the owners responsibility to have a year round current vaccination regardless of registration status).

LIVESTOCK (horses, cattle, etc.)

All horses must be registered with a valid equine infectious anemia.

Livestock must housed on property with at least 600 square feet for the first animal and 400 square feet for each additional animal. The animals must also be kept no less than 100 feet away from any structure on another property and at an appropriate distance from a well structure.
