Continuing Education, specifically police, fire and medical training is not only required by the State but essential to the safety of our citizens. The officers of the Oak Point Department of Public Safety fulfill those requirements. In fact, the officers of this department have shown desire, dedication and commitment to the city and its citizens by going beyond those basic requirements, they are continually participating and/or working to achieve more knowledge and hands on training, because no other officers and/or departments care more about the citizens of the community they serve than we do. The standards of this department are high and we only continually employ those officers whose standards are in step with those of this department. You do not have to look far to realize this as former officers of this department are employed at cities whose expectations of excellence are far less than ours. It is this departments philosophy that the people of our community deserve the best.
