The Finance Division is responsible for the general supervision and management of the Accounting, Purchasing, and Utility Billing. Included in these responsibilities are:

  • Accounts Payable
  • Accounts Receivable
  • Budget Administration
  • Cash Management
  • Debt Management
  • Fixed Assets
  • Investments
  • Payroll

Policies

The Finance Department strives to protect the City's investments. It administers and supervises financial affairs of the City in accordance with guidelines established by policies, procedures, ordinances, and budgets adopted by:

  • Administrative Polices
  • City Council
  • Generally Accepted Accounting Principals
  • Government Finance Officers Association Reporting Guidelines
  • State Laws

The department provides financial data to users in a manner that assists in decision making. Effective internal controls are maintained to assure the financial responsibility and fiscal management of the City’s assets and resources.
