Early Life

Lynn was born in Dallas and raised in Minneola, Texas on his family's peach orchard.

Lynn joined the United States Marine Corps after high school where he was a Machine Gunner and a member of the Fleet Anti-Terrorist Security Team (FAST Company) during Desert Storm.


Lynn Harpold and his family have been Oak Point residents for nearly 15 years. They are active members of Midway Baptist Church and members of the Dallas Corinthian Yacht Club.


Lynn obtained a BA from the University of Texas at Arlington in Exercise and Sports Studies and an AA from Weatherford College in Fire Department Administration.


Lynn served on the Oak Point City Council from 2010 to 2016 and served as Mayor Pro Tem from 2013 to 2016. 

After stepping down for almost a year, Lynn decided to run for Oak Point City Council again because he missed serving the citizens by being able to vote on issues that affect the future of Oak Point's remaining open spaces, quality of life and safety of its citizens.  Lynn is a strong advocate of Keeping Oak Point a County Place!

Hobbies & Activities

Lynn enjoys road and mountain biking, weight lifting, running, and boating. 

Lynn has been a member of the Carrollton Fire Rescue for 19 years.
