Don Lindemann graduated from Northern State University with a BS in Secondary Education. Although his original intent was to teach school, he took a part time job working for the Footlocker Group and ended up working for them the next 29 years holding the positions of Manager, District Manager and Regional Auditor. Don left Footlocker in 2000 to work for Finish Line Corporation as their Regional Loss Prevention Manager/Certified Forensics Interrogator and remained there until his retirement in 2013.
Don and his wife, Leann, of 21 years, moved from Katy, Texas to Oak Point in 2003. Their search for a new home in the North Texas area ended when they found the perfect lot to build their forever home. They have 2 sons and 3 grandsons (which keep them very busy).
Before being elected to the City Council, Don served on the Capital Improvement Committee and the Planning and Zoning Commission. Don’s passion is to keep Oak Point the friendly, country place he discovered 12 years ago. He is also dedicated to keeping Oak Point’s infrastructure up-to-date, maintaining fiscal responsibility and keeping our citizens safe.
